I’m an IT consultant working in London, married with two adult children. This blog is about my personal voyage of discovery with regard to sustainable menswear.

As I’ve got older, I’ve started to take more of an interest in what I wear; I’ve become more interested in clothes and the quest to build my personal ‘style’. Maybe it’s a result of having more disposable income. Maybe it’s been influenced by working in London. Losing a couple of stone in weight was also undoubtedly a factor. For whatever the reason, menswear has become something of a fascination.

My growing interest in menswear has, however, coincided with also learning that the fashion industry has been a major contributor to the ongoing destruction of our planet. I’m part of a generation that invented globalisation and mass consumerism; this happened on our watch. As such, in the years that I have left on this earth, I feel compelled to try and be part of the solution.

Does that mean, however, I have to give up my interest in clothes and menswear? Can I continue to enjoy pursuing the development of a personal style (and a wardrobe to match) but at the same time be part of the solution when it comes to our planet?

That’s what this blog is about*. You’re welcome to join me. Any helpful pointers are welcome.

In terms of following a more sustainable lifestyle, I’m a work in progress. I’m certainly not perfect and have a lot to learn. But I’m trying to be better every day.

London, UK.

*Ok, I may well write about some other stuff too. But it’s mainly about this. 🙂
